Fashion is about making a statement

Inspired by Elle interview with Marc Jacobs

Today I want to start a propaganda.
Propaganda which states that
"Fashion is a tool- a tool to make a statement".

You might take it metaphorically or just as it is.

You may hide under thousands of layers and pretend to be someone else,

or you may "shout" some slogan using a T-shirt.
You may let people know how colorful is your personality
by creating unforgettable look
or wear black suit to show your boss that you are mature
and reliable person.
It is your choice.
Either way- you make a statement.

Even if you do not care what hangs in your closet-
you still express something with that.
Simply, that you don't care or as some may say
"you have more important things on your mind".

Fashion is a tool to make a statement.

Use it.

Oh, Haute Couture

Oh I love Haute Couture...

For me it is like true art.
It's a chance for a desiger to let his imagination free.
To show his real creative potential.
Each piece is special, each carries its own history.
But in the same time it is not simply about a clothing.
It is about how it makes you feel.
That is what's truly amazing about Haute Couture,
It is not just everyday dress,
those pieces are designed to be special
to make YOU feel "one and only".

Here are some shows that I find extraordinary

First Armani

I felt like in a dream.
I had to check twice am I really watching fall/winter collection.
It is light, bright and shiny. In some way it is like watching snowflakes dancing in the wind.

Elie Saab

I am huge fan of this designer. For me he is one of those men who truly understands women.
Master of emphasizing the strengths of female figure, with those V-necklines and narrow stripes on the waist.
His shiny materials are light and delicate, making you feel like modern princess.

Chanel

What a show...
It is not presentation of a clothing, it is a travel to the mind of a designer.
The play with textures and shapes,
the performance of royal greys
and it's all in the spirit of Chanel.

Which shows did you enjoyed the most?

Outfit#one dress + collar = 3 outfits

 Photos by Marcela Marjak

My first outfit post!
To be honest I was a little bit nervous-wasn't sure is it something for me and that is why it took me that much time to publish it. However, when Marcel said she could help me out I finally decided to.

Concept was simple- take one dress( the one from my prom) add a collar and see how I can work with it under field conditions. The time has come and.....it started to rain. Ok, I take the challenge. What came out of it you can see in this post.

What am I wearing:
Coat: Cubus
Dress: Emamoda
Shoes: noname stolen from my sister
Collar: from my grandma's old shirt
Pink sweater: Marks and Spencer
Striped Sweater: H&M
Ring: Lokaah
